Nancy Xing

I turn ideas into realities.

I care as much about why we build as how it looks.

Born and raised in Shanghai, I moved to the U.S. in 2017 to study, and started designing professionally at the same time. I've been living in both worlds ever since.

My work spans a wide range: from visual identities to digital products, from hospitality startups to consumer brands. The common thread isn't a medium or an industry. It's intent. I'm drawn to work with a clear sense of purpose, the kind that does some good for people's lives and the planet's future.

How I work

01

Stand in good stead

Planet and people first, business second. I'm moved by social purpose and environmental impact, not just the bottom line. That's what gives the work, and the life around it, meaning.

02

Work fast, discard freely

I move quickly and sketch roughly, making and throwing away ideas in bulk. Lean process, thinking on my feet, and a fast pace strip design down to what actually matters.

03

Collaboration fuels creativity

The best work comes from many minds. Diverse perspectives sharpen the idea and make the outcome better than anything I'd reach alone.
